Rear Brake Pedal

#1 Beitrag von martinlacy »

Friends

Can anybody give me advice on replacing the rear brake pedal? Is there a sequence and are there any pitfalls I should look out for in particular the servo spring and the coil spring? Any help would be much appreciated.
Martin :)

Hello Martin,

I never touched/serviced rear brake lever. Why for?

Old German proverb: "Wer einmal bremst, ist ewig hinten!"
Just put this phrase into a translation tool like Altavista Babelfish ( http://babelfish.altavista.com/ )
Lieben Gruß, Pezi (Wetter in Salzburg)

Hello Pezi

Hmm! I had a slight collision with the ground and the pedal was distorted requiring the pedal to be replaced.

Thank you for the words of wisdom!!

Martin

Uuups Martin, I'm terrible sorry for my impudent answer, but now I think to see your fairing/brake pedal connections more clearly?

Do you remember gentle musician Alan Parson (about 1977?):

What must rise, must fall
And what goes on in your life
Is writing on the wall

Dear Martin, it's all written on the K1200 GT repair manual CD ... Did you already order it? ...

I don't posess the disc, maybe a nice comrade here will help you with some copied pages ... but only can be a temporarely workaround.

My advice: BUY IT :) Pezi

Thanks Pezi, I will buy the CD as my owning the GT is a long term wish.

Best regards,
